Originally backed by Y Combinator (Summer 2020) and starting as a small start-up during Covid times, we grew to a truly global-presence company, recently acquired by , joining a family of multiple companies, covering eight industries in 72+ countries. Momence itself supports thousands of businesses with scheduling, payments, communications, marketing solutions, and backend automation. Through our Momence app, hundreds of thousands of customers book their experiences every month. Momence is simply one of the Xplor's flagships in Fitness & Leisure vertical.

While we operate fully remotely everywhere else, our Prague-based team has the option of being on site, hybrid or fully remote - up to you.

About the team

Our R&D team is almost 40 people across Engineering, Product, UX/UI and QA, organised into five lean, autonomous squads.
We value ownership and trust people to make an impact early. You’ll have a proper onboarding and ramp-up period, but our new joiners are often shipping impactful features within their first month.
You’ll also have plenty of freedom to shape how you work — whether you prefer focusing on code or getting more involved in technical decisions and product discussions alongside your Squad Lead and PM.
Momence is used by thousands of businesses worldwide, supporting millions of classes and appointments and processing millions of payments every month. What you build will have a real impact from day one.
The Squad
You’ll join our Scheduling Squad, responsible for one of the core areas of Momence — classes, appointments, open spaces and the functionality around them.
The squad has six members, including a Squad Lead and dedicated Principal PM. We’ve got a healthy mix of long-standing team members with deep Momence product knowledge and newer faces bringing fresh perspectives — so you’ll have plenty of experience to lean on while still having room to challenge how things are done. You’ll work across both established parts of the platform and new greenfield projects, so expect a mix of improving what already exists and building something new.
And a small fun fact: our Squad Lead knows this area so well that his product knowledge helped train our internal AI help bot. So if the size of the codebase feels intimidating at first, you’ll be in good hands. 😉

What are we looking for?

  • You have 3+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Engineer, working across both frontend and backend technologies, including unit and end-to-end testing.
  • A strong product mindset.
  • You can solve complex technical challenges and confidently defend your solutions, even in ambiguous situations.
  • Beyond code: additional expertise in UX/design or security or DevOps enables you to build scalable and user-friendly systems.
  • Being based in CZ with occasional pop up to our Prague office.
  • A passion for continuous learning, tinkering and knowledge sharing.
  • You can adapt to existing environments & codebase quickly, pick up & follow deeply established practices, but also offer new set of eyes and improvements where possible.
  • You can leverage AI to your advantage to help you analyse & asses initial situation, help with menial work, but at the same time you take pride in not delivering AI slop and understanding the solution you bring to the table.
