Full-Stack Engineer
Summary
Designs, develops, and maintains scalable full-stack web applications at Sagara Technology, a software house serving clients across Southeast Asia. Day to day involves building backend services in Golang/Node.js, creating REST and gRPC APIs, and working with PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis, Kafka, and Docker.
The Full-Stack Engineer role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications across frontend and backend systems. This position will collaborate with engineering teams to build reliable software solutions, develop backend services, integrate APIs, optimize application performance, and contribute to the improvement of system architecture within a technology-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full-stack applications using modern frontend and backend technologies.
- Design, build, and integrate RESTful APIs and gRPC services.
- Develop scalable backend services using Golang and/or Node.js.
- Work with databases including PostgreSQL/MySQL and caching systems such as Redis.
- Support event-driven architecture implementation using Kafka and related technologies.
- Improve application performance, reliability, and scalability through effective engineering practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
- Strong experience with Golang and/or Node.js for backend development.
- Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs and gRPC services.
- Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL and caching systems such as Redis.
- Experience with Docker, containerized applications, and cloud storage solutions such as S3.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
