Full Stack Engineer

We're looking for a passionate Full Stack Engineer to build secure, scalable, and cloud-native applications that support government digital services.

Key Responsibilities

• Take complete end-to-end ownership of full-stack development, proactively driving features from concept to deployment.
• Design and build lightweight, framework-agnostic frontend components with intuitive UI/UX and seamless cross-browser compatibility.
• Architect and maintain scalable Node.js backend services, REST APIs, and robust SQL/NoSQL databases to handle high-volume concurrent requests.
• Develop tools to detect digital accessibility and usability violations by referencing WCAG 2.1, and UX violations through use of automation tools like Playwright and axe-core and DOM APIs.
• Manage secure cloud infrastructure on AWS, and optimize automated build and deployment pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
• Implement continuous monitoring, error tracking, and automated testing suites to maintain system integrity and reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ relevant experience in Full Stack Development
• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related
• Strong foundational knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and DOM APIs, without reliance on a specific frontend framework.
• Hands-on experience building, scaling, and maintaining backend services and APIs using Node.js and common frameworks (e.g., Express.js, NestJS).
• Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL database design, optimization, and caching mechanisms like Redis.
• Familiar with modern deployment practices, containerization (Docker), GitLab CI/CD, and cloud environments, particularly AWS.
• Practical experience or strong familiarity with web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1, ARIA, screen reader testing) is highly desirable.
