About the Role
Our client is a IT consultancy focused on various government projects. They are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join and work on a client project to design, build, and maintain high-quality software systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and maintain complex software components and system architectures to demonstrate and realise technology opportunities
- Build proof-of-concept prototypes and contribute to architectural decisions that address complex, ambiguous problem statements
- Apply agile development practices and a customer-centric mindset to manage delivery pipelines and ensure solution quality
- Harness emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, to drive business value and improve end-user experience
- Collaborate closely with UX designers, business analysts, and fellow engineers to deliver robust enterprise products on schedule
- Provide technical consultancy throughout the systems development lifecycle, including defining technical specifications, configuring environments, and conducting solution testing
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards, code quality, and development tooling across the team
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
- Hands-on experience with a modern web application stack, including technologies such as Node.js, TypeScript, Vue.js, Nuxt, NestJS, SQL, and strong-typing languages, along with unit and end-to-end testing practices
- Proficiency in AWS Cloud services and Infrastructure/Configuration as Code tooling (e.g. Lambda, SQS, SNS, S3, Terraform, Terragrunt)
- Experience with code versioning and CI/CD pipeline tools such as GitLab and GitLab CI/CD
- Proven ability to architect and deliver solutions to complex and ambiguous technical challenges, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across all levels of an organisation
