Discussion

Summary

Full-stack product engineer (backend-leaning) building software infrastructure that improves the reliability of AI agents in production — investigation, evaluation, debugging, and replay tooling plus platform features like workspaces, billing, and SDKs. Stack includes React/Next.js, TypeScript/Python/Node.js, and PostgreSQL; on-site in San Francisco.

About the Role

Join a team building software infrastructure that helps organizations improve the reliability of AI agents in production. You will work across product and platform engineering, with a backend emphasis and ownership from customer problem discovery through delivery.

What You'll Do

  • Build product experiences for agent investigations, evaluation workflows, trajectory debugging, verification, and replay.

  • Work with customers to understand where their agents fail, define solutions, and iterate on shipped product.

  • Develop APIs, data models, internal systems, and user-facing features across the full stack.

  • Build systems that run large-scale investigations across production traces.

  • Design platform capabilities such as workspaces, permissions, billing, usage, SDKs, and terminal-first developer workflows.

  • Partner with teams building production AI agents and turn observed issues into product decisions.

What We're Looking For

  • Five to eight years of full-stack product engineering experience, with a backend-leaning profile and meaningful ownership across frontend and backend systems.

  • Experience shipping polished product surfaces with React or Next.js, and building backend services with TypeScript, Python, or Node.js.

  • Strong API design, data modeling, and production debugging skills; familiarity with PostgreSQL is useful.

  • Hands-on experience with AI agents, LLM-powered products, or agentic systems, including relevant tooling such as evaluation or debugging tools.

  • Ability to work directly with customers, influence product decisions, and deliver clean, consistent code in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong computer science fundamentals or equivalent academic preparation.
