Summary

Backend-leaning full-stack engineer building infrastructure that helps organizations evaluate and debug AI agents in production — agent investigation, evaluation workflows, trajectory debugging, and replay tools. Stack includes TypeScript, React/Next.js, Python or Node.js, and PostgreSQL. On-site in San Francisco.

About the Role

Join a team building software infrastructure that helps organizations improve the reliability of AI agents in production. This backend-leaning, full-stack role combines hands-on product engineering with customer insight to shape agent investigation, evaluation, and debugging workflows.

What You'll Do

  • Build product experiences for agent investigation, evaluation workflows, trajectory debugging, verification, and replay.

  • Work with customers to understand agent failures, define product solutions, and iterate on shipped features.

  • Develop APIs, data models, internal systems, and user-facing product surfaces across the stack.

  • Build systems that run large-scale investigations across production traces.

  • Design platform capabilities such as workspaces, permissions, billing, usage, SDKs, and terminal-first developer tools.

  • Collaborate with AI teams building production agents and turn their feedback into product decisions.

What We're Looking For

  • 2 to 5 years of full-stack product engineering experience, with a backend emphasis.

  • Experience shipping user-facing products end-to-end, including frontend work with React or Next.js and backend development.

  • Strong skills in TypeScript and React, plus Python or Node.js; familiarity with PostgreSQL is relevant.

  • Ability to build polished interfaces, design clean APIs, model data, and debug production issues across the stack.

  • Hands-on experience with AI agents, LLM-powered products, or agentic systems, and interest in evaluation, debugging, or developer tools.

  • A formal computer science degree or equivalent academic background, with strong software engineering fundamentals.

  • Experience working directly with customers and influencing product decisions through engineering work.
