Summary
Full-stack engineer (Singapore, onsite) building production web applications with Node.js, TypeScript, React/Next.js and AWS — covering REST APIs, PostgreSQL/DynamoDB, RBAC, scheduling/attendance features, and CI/CD. Requires 4+ years of experience; public-sector/citizen-facing services experience is a plus.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, with the ability to independently deliver features.
Mandatory Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Recent hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript is mandatory.
- AI-assisted coding experience (e.g., GitHub Copilot or similar tools) is preferred.
- Track record of delivering production-grade applications.
Technical Skills Required
Full-Stack Development
- Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript, with a strong understanding of modern web development practices and component-based architecture.
- Experience with frontend frameworks such as React and Next.js.
- Experience in mobile-responsive web development and/or Progressive Web App (PWA) development.
Backend and Database
- RESTful API design and development.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) implementation.
- Audit logging and data compliance, including the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
- Integrations
- Experience integrating with identity verification, digital identity, or authentication services.
- Experience with email and SMS notification services, such as AWS SES, SNS, or Twilio.
Scheduling, Attendance and Reporting
- Experience developing scheduling and availability management features, such as calendar functionality.
- Experience implementing attendance tracking mechanisms, such as QR code-based check-in and check-out.
- Experience developing dashboards and generating reports in exportable formats, such as PDF and Excel.
- Cloud
- Hands-on experience with cloud services, such as AWS EC2, Lambda, and RDS, or equivalent platforms, including deployment and infrastructure management.
DevOps
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and CDK, and monitoring and observability practices.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience building citizen-facing digital services or public-sector applications.
