Full stack java developer

Our client is seeking a skilled Full-Stack Developer to join a technology team supporting a live, business-critical workflow platform. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to take ownership of features from requirements through to production while working across Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and My SQL.

Requirements: 5+ years of professional software development experience. Strong Java and Spring ecosystem experience, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security. Solid Angular experience, including component architecture, Rx JS, and Type Script. Strong My SQL and relational database skills, including schema design, query optimisation, and indexing. Experience developing and consuming REST APIs. Experience with Git Lab or an equivalent platform for version control, code reviews, and CI/CD. Proven experience supporting live, business-critical production systems. Strong understanding of secure coding, authentication, authorisation, access control, and data protection. Awareness of POPIA/GDPR principles. Relevant Computer Science or Software Engineering qualification, or equivalent demonstrable experience. Advantageous JPA/Hibernate and broader Spring technologies such as Spring Data, Spring Batch, or Spring Cloud. Linux administration and shell scripting. Docker and containerised deployments. Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP. Microservices architecture and messaging technologies such as Rabbit MQ or Kafka. Automated testing using JUnit, Mockito, Cypress, Karma, or similar. Experience within financial services, insurance, pensions, or a related industry.
