About The Role

Jago Consultants is seeking a Software Developer/Programmer to join the team in Guildford. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will help develop and enhance software systems across a range of exciting projects. The role combines hands‑on programming with collaboration, technical learning, and the opportunity to build on your current experience.

You will use technologies including C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, Angular, and HTML/CSS. Test‑driven development (TDD) is also part of the role, supporting a disciplined approach to building and maintaining reliable software. You should be comfortable applying your existing skills while remaining curious about new approaches and technologies. This position would suit a creative, motivated developer who enjoys solving problems and is eager to grow within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

Applicants should have practical experience or a strong working knowledge of C# and relevant software development practices. Familiarity with ASP.NET MVC and .NET Core is important, along with experience using Angular and HTML/CSS to contribute to application development. An understanding of TDD and the value of testing as part of the development process is also required.

You should be able to approach development tasks methodically, understand requirements, and communicate your ideas clearly. Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain software systems using C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Core, Angular, and HTML/CSS, as appropriate to project requirements. Contribute to exciting development projects by translating technical requirements into dependable software features and solutions.

Apply TDD practices to support code quality, identify issues, and help ensure that changes behave as intended. Review existing systems and code, build understanding of established approaches, and use that knowledge when implementing enhancements or resolving problems. Work closely with the Technical Manager and colleagues to discuss priorities, share progress, and coordinate development tasks. Participate constructively in technical discussions, communicate challenges early, and remain open to guidance and feedback. Continue learning and improving your skills while helping the team deliver maintainable, robust results.
