Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors Degree or equivalent Engineering skillset / training / work experience in a relevant technical domain

10+ years of strong development experience delivering medium to large bespoke software solutions while working in an Agile (Scrum / Kanban / SAFe) environment

Leads discussions on design approaches to solving visible, strategic and complex business problems, balancing performance, scalability, security and cost

Identifies emerging technologies for consideration and implements proof of concepts (e.g., GenAI natural-language querying, DR/failover patterns) to prove new technology direction

Maintains broad knowledge of the business applications / services that comprise the analytics and merchandising technical domain

Provides technical subject-matter expertise and insight related to the business applications in the domain

Acts in Senior Engineer capacity for medium to large initiatives prioritizing and assigning tasks, providing guidance, and resolving issues

Designs, codes, tests, deploys & supports working software, collaborating closely with architects and other engineers

Fully owns Epics with decreasing guidance; takes initiative by identifying gaps and opportunities

Hands-on design and delivery of RESTful and SOAP APIs, including versioning, security, and contract design

Hands-on experience building medium to large data integrations end to end, with strong grasp of coding standards, performance tuning, and database concepts (SQL, query optimization, warehouse tuning)

Experience designing for scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery (multi-region, load balancing, RTO/RPO)

Strong communication and influence skills; solid team leadership with mentorship

Ability to understand the work environment and competing priorities while developing and meeting project goals

Shows a positive, open-minded and can-do attitude

Snowflake (SQL, warehouses, key-pair auth, performance tuning, cost optimization)

Talend (and comparable ETL/ELT tooling) for data integration pipelines

Stored procedures, dimensional / data-mart modeling (CDS / enriched / fact / aggregate layers)

Cloud — Microsoft Azure

App Service, Azure Front Door, Application Gateway / WAF

Microsoft Entra ID (SSO, MFA, Conditional Access), Key Vault, Managed Identity / RBAC

Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, Azure Cache for Redis
