Full Stack .NET, Medicaid Services

We are looking for a skilled Full Stack .NET Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications. The ideal candidate should have expertise in .NET technologies, front-end development, REST APIs, databases, and cloud platforms, along with experience working in Agile environments.

1. Design, develop, and maintain web applications across the full stack, including front-end, back-end, and database layers.
2. Partner with designers and product managers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
3. Build responsive, accessible user interfaces that deliver consistent, high-quality experience across browsers and devices.
4. Design, develop, and maintain secure RESTful APIs and backend services that support scalable, reliable application functionality.
5. Design, implement, and optimize relational database structures to support application performance and data integrity.
6. Manage source code and collaborate with the team throughout the development lifecycle, following established version control and branching practices.
7. Deploy, configure, and maintain applications on Microsoft Azure (AWS experience a plus), including building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
8. Contribute to Agile delivery by actively participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
9. Write and maintain automated tests, including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, to ensure application quality and reliability.
10. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues related to application performance, integrations, and system interoperability.
11. Participate in code reviews and maintain technical documentation to support long-term maintainability.
12. Explore and integrate AI-powered capabilities, such as Microsoft Copilot or Azure AI services, into applications where applicable.

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or business technology required.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in full-stack software development, with a proven track record of delivering custom applications.
TYPE OF SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION
Frontend Development
Production experience with React.js, TypeScript, modern JavaScript (ES6+), and responsive/accessible UI (HTML5, CSS3); familiarity with frontend testing (Jest, React Testing Library).

Backend Development
Experience building APIs and services with C# / ASP.NET Core (Node.js a plus), RESTful API design, OAuth 2.0/JWT authentication, and ORM tools (Entity Framework Core or Dapper).

Database & Data Management
Strong SQL Server skills (T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimization) and experience with Azure SQL or similar managed databases.

Architecture & Engineering Practices
Understanding microservices/SOA architecture, Git workflows, Agile/Scrum delivery, and multi-environment management.

Certifications
No certifications required; the following are preferred: Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or AWS Certified Developer. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance, healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR), EDI transactions (837, 835), or Medicare/Medicaid billing systems is also a plus.

None. Reports to and works under the direction of the Senior Engineer and the Director.

Contributes directly to departmental productivity, data accuracy, and process efficiency across multiple business units. Technical decisions shape application scalability, security, and long-term maintainability.

Interacts with UX Designers, Product Managers, Business Analysts, QA Testers, department stakeholders, and IT leadership.
