Summary
A hands-on full stack .NET developer builds web-based tools and Umbraco site enhancements for a luxury travel company's transformation project, automating processes and integrating with business systems and data warehouses. Core stack: ASP.NET/C#, MS SQL Server, React/Angular, Azure, PowerBI and CI/CD tooling.
In this role you will contribute to a major transformation project for a luxury travel company, building web-based tools and site enhancements. You will work with cross-functional teams and external vendors to deliver technical solutions that automate processes and improve accuracy of pricing and management information. The position offers exposure to design, architecture, and delivery across multiple stakeholders, with scope to manage supplier relationships. This is a hands-on, impact-focused opportunity to shape digital tools in a dynamic travel tech environment.
Responsibilities- Design and implement web-based tools to automate business processes
- Implement enhancements to the company website (Umbraco)
- Interface with business systems and data warehouse to deliver functionality
- Analyze and identify automation opportunities with the business lead
- Design and validate technical solutions including database design and vendor approaches
- Lead complex business change projects with multiple stakeholders
- Potentially manage suppliers to meet budget and deadlines
- Risk and issue management to maintain proactive governance
- 3–5 years of commercial experience in travel retail domain
- Proven track record delivering projects with in-house resources and/or third-party suppliers
- Ability to design and architect complex technical solutions
- Full stack development experience (ASP.NET, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, ReactJS, AngularJS, MS SQL Server)
- CMS experience e.g. Umbraco
- Continuous Delivery tools and practices (Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, Vagrant, Chef, Puppet, Selenium)
- Familiarity with Azure cloud services and deploying apps
- Experience implementing business process automation
- Experience building/rest APIs with OpenAPI/swagger
- PowerBI, PowerQuery, Dax & M
- API messaging formats (JSON, XML, SOAP)
- Structured testing approaches (TDD/BDD)
