Full Stack Python Developer

The client is on a mission transforming student transportation safety through cutting-edge technology and real-time automated enforcement.

Role & responsibilities :

- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and tested code

- Engineer documented, scalable, and secure APIs from deprecated legacy code

- Actively seek out knowledge about new technologies and how they can be used to solve current and foreseeable challenges

- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle

- Be a productive member of an inclusive team where pairing and peer-reviewed code are valued

- Follow best practices (continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring, and code standards)

- Drive continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies into design

- Engineers documented scalable and secure APIs from deprecated legacy code

- Work with AWS Serverless technologies

Preferred candidate profile :

- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

- 5+ years of experience as a full-stack developer

- 3+ years Ruby or Python experience

- 3+ years of experience with web frameworks (preferred : Rails or Rack)

- Proven work experience in an agile software development team

- Demonstrable knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3

- Passion for writing great, simple, clean, efficient code

- Workable knowledge of MySQL, Postgres, or AWS Aurora databases

- Knowledge of version control, such as Git

- Ability to simplify complex problems

- Vue.js experience (preferred)

- SASS experience (preferred)

- IoT Technologies (preferred)

- Sinatra experience (preferred)

- Understanding of DevOps deployment processes and technologies : Docker, Jenkins etc. (preferred)
