  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Vue or React

  • Expertise in producing modern, accessible web applications
  • Computer Science degree or equivalent experience or education
  • Enjoy learning about and using AI development tools
  • NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
  • Indicative salary range is $60K–$120K per year

Key Responsibilities

  • Build bespoke applications using Ruby on Rails
  • Manage and configure our flexible infrastructure stack including AWS, Docker and Kubernetes
  • Build and improve our Continuous Integration services (GitHub Actions and GitLab Pipeline) – running tests, linters, security and accessibility audits and deployments
  • Develop high‑quality and well‑tested code
  • Take initiative and be resourceful in problem‑solving
  • Use tools like AI to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and improve development workflows
  • Work in a small, dedicated and high‑performing Agile software team
  • Work closely with Product Owners and our UX/UI designers
  • Continuously learn and share knowledge to grow the development team capabilities
  • Build strong relationships with Boost team members and clients
  • Contribute to our award‑winning culture by practising our core organisational values
