- Minimum of a couple of years of experience as a software developer
- Experience with Ruby on Rails
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Vue or React
- Experience with cloud environments such as AWS and Kubernetes
- Expertise in producing modern, accessible web applications
- Computer Science degree or equivalent experience or education
- Enjoy learning about and using AI development tools
- NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
- Indicative salary range is $60K–$120K per year
Key Responsibilities
- Build bespoke applications using Ruby on Rails
- Manage and configure our flexible infrastructure stack including AWS, Docker and Kubernetes
- Build and improve our Continuous Integration services (GitHub Actions and GitLab Pipeline) – running tests, linters, security and accessibility audits and deployments
- Develop high‑quality and well‑tested code
- Take initiative and be resourceful in problem‑solving
- Use tools like AI to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and improve development workflows
- Work in a small, dedicated and high‑performing Agile software team
- Work closely with Product Owners and our UX/UI designers
- Continuously learn and share knowledge to grow the development team capabilities
- Build strong relationships with Boost team members and clients
- Contribute to our award‑winning culture by practising our core organisational values
