Full Stack Software Developer

Location: Montreal

Work Mode: In-office presence required 3x/week

Duration: 12 Months Contract

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Risk and Compliance to build surveillance models.


• Engage in software design, back-end, and front-end development.


• Implement DevOps automation for test and release processes.


• Work with Business Analysts, Scrum Masters, and other teams to understand surveillance model requirements.


• Design, implement, and test surveillance models in an agile environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on software development experience in the Java ecosystem.


• Experience with Spark on big data platforms.


• DevOps CI/CD experience focusing on test and release automation.


• Strong database experience, preferably with DB2, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.


• Familiarity with the complete SDLC process and Agile Methodology (Scrum).


• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical users.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Scala and containerized techniques like Docker or Podman.


• Web UI experience using HTML5, JavaScript, and Angular/React frameworks.


• High-quality software architecture and design methodologies and patterns.


• Work experience with workflow and rule engines.


• Hands-on data mining and analytical work experience.


• Experience with layered and component-based architecture.


• Proficiency in Unix OS, scripting, and Python.


• Native cloud experience, preferably on Azure.


• Familiarity with design patterns, preferably the GoF set of patterns.


• Experience with XML technologies including SAX, DOM, XSL, and SOAP.


• Excel spreadsheet generation and use.


• Desired experience with Spring Boot and data access APIs such as JDBC.
