More about your role:
NASK is seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Developer to support mission-focused software development. This is a hands-on development role requiring strong Python/backend skills, modern frontend experience, cloud/containerization expertise, and the ability to contribute to architectural and infrastructure decisions.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain Python/FastAPI backend services and integrations with NASIC software.
- Build front-end applications using Vue.js/Nuxt and collaborate with UI/UX designers.
- Write high-coverage automated tests and maintain code quality through reviews and Git workflows.
- Deploy and maintain applications in the NASIC Unified Cloud using Kubernetes, Helm, and Argo CD.
- Support CI/CD, software delivery, and Linux-based development environments.
- Work with AFISRE and Catalog, including application, data, user context, and authorization components.
- Contribute to software architecture, infrastructure, performance optimization, and technical decisions.
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment and provide on-site support.
- Explore AI/LLM-assisted development tools and workflows.
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS
- 4+ years of software development experience
- B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Strong Python development experience; FastAPI preferred.
- Experience with Vue.js/Nuxt, automated testing, and backend services.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD, CI/CD, and Linux.
- Ability to analyze and improve software performance through refactoring, optimization, multithreading, and performance analysis tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- TS/SCI with a CI Poly
- Experience with NASIC Unified Cloud, AFISRE, and Catalog.
- Familiarity with OPA, data, user context, and authorization/policy.
- Experience supporting software in a DoD or Intelligence Community environment.
- Experience using LLM/AI tools in software development.
