Full stack developer at X-On joining an agile team building technology for primary healthcare (including NHS-facing products), working on everything from backend APIs to customer-facing websites. Core stack: PHP/Laravel, React, MySQL, GitLab, and RabbitMQ.
You will join a collaborative agile team of software engineers and QA testers across all experience levels. Working on diverse projects from backend APIs to customer-facing websites, you will directly shape innovative technology solutions within primary healthcare.
Responsibilities:
- Work within an agile team to solve technical challenges and develop new functionality to our products and services
- Contribute towards translating business requirements into technical design and development projects and tasks
- Contribute in architectural and design discussions
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
- Identify and contribute towards developing solutions to improve system security, performance, scalability, and reliability
- Adhere to best software engineering practices and principles
- Collaborate with other members of the team through remote and in-person collaboration, work together with all stakeholders to understand and progress projects and tasks

Skills Required:
Essential experience:
- Knowledge of the product development lifecycle
- Working experience with modern PHP including frameworks (e.g. Laravel)
- Working experience with modern frontend frameworks/libraries (e.g. React)
- Source control (e.g. GitLab)
- Working experience with databases (e.g. MySQL)
- Strong knowledge of software design patterns and object-oriented design principles
- Working experience of test frameworks
Desired experience:
- Experience with Message Queues (e.g. RabbitMQ) & event driven architecture
- Node.js
- Healthcare industry experience (NHS)
