Full-Stack Software Engineer

About the Role

This is a full-stack engineering role at an early-stage enterprise AI platform, where you will own features end-to-end and have a direct hand in shaping product and architecture decisions. You will work across the full stack, from backend APIs and database design to frontend integration, on a product that helps organizations roll out AI safely and at scale.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement robust backend systems and APIs to power an AI platform built on Node.js.

• Build end-to-end solutions spanning backend logic, database layers, and frontend integration.

• Develop and optimize database schemas, queries, and data models for performance and scalability.

• Implement API endpoints and integrate with third-party services and AI/ML providers.

• Collaborate on technical architecture decisions and system design with the wider engineering team.

• Maintain and improve the codebase for reliability, performance, and long-term maintainability.

• Participate in regular support engineer rotations, assisting customers and the customer support team.

What We're Looking For

• 3 or more years of full-stack web development experience, with genuine depth on both frontend and backend.

• Strong, hands-on TypeScript proficiency across the full stack (this is a firm requirement).

• Solid experience with Node.js, React/Next.js, and Tailwind CSS.

• Proficiency with PostgreSQL: data modeling, querying, and query optimization.

• Experience owning features from conception through to production deployment.

• Experience building AI-powered features or integrating AI/ML services into applications.

• Strong CS fundamentals and system design instincts.

• Clear communication and collaboration skills, comfortable working closely with product leadership.

• Willingness to participate in customer-facing support engineer rotations.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: 66,000 to 120,000 EUR annually. Visa sponsorship is available for candidates relocating to Berlin.

Location

On-site in Berlin, Germany. This is not a remote role.
