Full-Stack Software Engineer — Django
Summary
Builds and ships Django backend services and full-stack features for a B2B marketplace, focusing on low-latency APIs, data integrations, and end-to-end ownership.
We are looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join the Autobia team. This role works across a Python/Django codebase with a strong backend lean most of your time on services, data, and integrations, while comfortably handling the front end when the feature needs it. The Marketplace is customer-facing, so fast, low-latency API response times are a core goal.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, ship, and operate Django backend services and full-stack features.
- Own your work end to end: design, implementation, testing, deployment, production support.
- Build and maintain integrations with internal and external services.
- Write clear, maintainable code and contribute to the squad's technical decisions.
Qualifications
- Mid–senior full‑stack engineer, backend‑strong, with solid Python / Django experience.
- 3–5 years of professional full‑stack experience.
- Strong fundamentals: API design, data modeling, relational databases, testing.
- Comfortable across the stack — can build and debug front‑end features when needed.
- Performance‑minded: keeps API response times low through query tuning, caching, and profiling.
- Ownership mindset: takes a problem from ambiguity to shipped and supported.
Nice to Have
- B2B marketplace, catalog/matching, or supplier‑integration experience.
- Experience operating high‑reliability systems at scale.
- Knowing PostgreSQL is a plus.
- As a full‑stack role, knowing React is a plus.
- Experience with GKE or AWS is a plus.
