**About Flycore** Flycore is building the operating system for flight schools. We help aviation businesses manage inquiries, enrollment, communication, and operations through a modern CRM and workflow platform designed specifically for flight training. We are backed by strong early customers, aviation operators, and investors. We’re growing quickly and looking for a high-agency engineer to help us scale from strong traction to category leader. **The Role** We’re hiring a full-time software engineer to work directly with the founders to expand and scale Flycore. This is not a narrow implementation role. You will: * Ship features end-to-end * Improve system architecture as we scale * Work directly with customers to understand workflows * Make product and technical tradeoffs * Help define engineering standards and long-term direction You’ll have meaningful ownership over both product and technical decisions. **What You’ll Work On** * Core CRM workflows and automations * Messaging systems (email, SMS) * Usage-based systems (including e-sign capacity and billing logic) * Internal admin and operational tooling * Performance and reliability improvements * AI-assisted workflow enhancements Our stack includes Next.js, Postgres, Vercel, and modern React component systems. Strong engineering fundamentals matter more than exact stack experience. **AI-Native Engineering Environment** We operate in an AI-native development environment. We expect engineers to: * Regularly use AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, or similar * Leverage LLMs for refactoring, test generation, debugging, and architectural exploration * Think critically about when AI accelerates development and when human judgment is required Experience working effectively with AI-assisted IDEs is strongly preferred. We are building an engineering culture that embraces modern tooling to move faster without sacrificing quality. *We'll ask you in the interview to walk us through a recent project where you used AI tooling in a meaningful way — what you used, what worked, and what you'd do differently.* **You Might Be a Fit If You** * Have 5+ years building and shipping production web software * Have experience building 0 → 1 systems or scaling early-stage products * Understand database design and system architecture * Write clean, maintainable, testable code * Operate independently without heavy oversight * Are comfortable making pragmatic tradeoffs * Are already using AI tools as part of your daily development workflow **Bonus if you:** * Have vertical SaaS experience * Have startup experience * Have built billing or usage-based systems * Have interest or experience in aviation **Compensation & Structure** * Salary: $100,000–$140,000 (based on experience and impact) * Equity: Meaningful early-stage ownership * Location: Fully remote (U.S.-based preferred) * Remote-first team with founders based in Denver and California
