Full Stack Software Engineer, Front-End Focus
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer, Front-End Focus based in India.
This role offers the opportunity to build intuitive, secure, and scalable experiences for a modern SaaS platform serving organizations around the world.
You will work primarily on front-end engineering while contributing to back-end services and distributed systems when needed.
The position combines modern JavaScript and TypeScript development with Vue.js, AI-assisted engineering workflows, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and advanced testing practices.
You will help transform complex identity and IT-management capabilities into accessible, high-performance user experiences.
The role is highly collaborative, partnering with UX designers, product managers, and engineers to take sophisticated features from concept through production.
You will work in a remote-first, autonomous environment where experimentation, technical ownership, and continuous improvement are encouraged.

Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy responsive, accessible, modular, and reusable user interfaces using JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue 3, Pinia, Tailwind, PrimeVue, Axios, and related front-end technologies.
- Contribute approximately 80% of your work to front-end engineering while supporting approximately 20% of back-end development and distributed-system initiatives.
- Design and deploy scalable UI components that improve usability, consistency, and overall end-user experience.
- Implement identity and access-management workflows and support the migration of UI designs from existing component libraries to newer systems.
- Develop and maintain back-end services and distributed systems using Golang, Node.js, RESTful APIs, gRPC, and Protocol Buffers.
- Work with modern monorepo and build tooling, including Nx, pnpm workspaces, and Vite.
- Build, test, and deploy reliable software through automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Kubernetes.
- Develop comprehensive automated UI test coverage using Playwright and help ensure new functionality meets high standards for reliability and performance.
- Implement and maintain observability for new deployments using tools such as Datadog and Grafana, proactively identifying and responding to production issues.
- Use AI-assisted development tools, including Cursor and Anthropic-based solutions, to improve engineering productivity, development workflows, and technical processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve the technical investment backlog and contribute meaningful engineering improvements on an ongoing basis.
- Participate in rigorous code reviews, promoting strong security, architecture, maintainability, and development practices.
- Collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, and cross-functional engineering teams to turn complex requirements into polished production features.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond reliably to assigned production alerts and incidents.
- Contribute to a culture of technical curiosity, ownership, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within a distributed engineering organization.
- 2–4 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer, Software Engineer, or in a comparable development role.
- Strong front-end engineering experience with JavaScript and TypeScript, particularly in modern component-based frameworks such as Vue.js.
- Practical experience with Vue 3 and related technologies such as Pinia, Vite, Axios, Tailwind, PrimeVue, or comparable UI frameworks and libraries.
- Familiarity with Nx and pnpm workspaces or similar monorepo and package-management environments.
- Experience building responsive and accessible user interfaces with a strong focus on usability and UI/UX quality.
- Working knowledge of back-end development using Golang and/or Node.js, with experience developing or integrating RESTful APIs; exposure to gRPC and Protocol Buffers is valuable.
- Experience with automated testing, ideally including Playwright or comparable end-to-end testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools such as GitHub Actions, as well as containerized or Kubernetes-based deployment environments.
- Understanding of production observability and monitoring, with exposure to platforms such as Datadog or Grafana.
- Interest in and practical experience with AI-assisted software development tools and workflows, with an ability to identify ways AI can improve engineering productivity.
- Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, security practices, modern architecture, and maintainable development patterns.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with UX, product, engineering, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an enthusiasm for tackling complex technical and UI/UX challenges.
- Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, remote-first SaaS environment.
- Strong written and spoken English, as English is the primary language used for internal collaboration and the interview process.
- Authorized to work and currently located in India.
- Willingness and ability to participate in an engineering on-call rotation.
