The Opportunity

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building production software from front to back. You'll spend your time developing new features, maintaining existing systems, designing APIs, solving complex engineering problems, and partnering closely with teammates to deliver reliable software.

In the near term, you'll help ensure a smooth transition of ownership for BRAVO while learning the platform from our current engineer. Longer term, you'll help modernize the platform and contribute to Brkthru's broader investments in automation, AI, and internal tooling.

Responsibilities:

Application Development

• Design, build, test, and deploy production features across the BRAVO platform.
• Develop full-stack applications spanning React, Node.js, APIs, and PostgreSQL.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Debug production issues and improve system reliability.

Platform Ownership

• Become a primary technical owner of BRAVO.
• Improve platform performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Identify technical debt and recommend architectural improvements.
• Contribute to long-term platform modernization.

Engineering Collaboration

• Partner with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
• Help maintain development standards and engineering best practices.

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Build and maintain services hosted within AWS.
• Work with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and deployment automation.
• Monitor application health and production environments.
