Salary: £54,000 - 94,000 per year

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of frontend software engineering experience.
  • Strong frontend coding skills and the ability to write clean, effective code, regardless of framework.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar languages.
  • Strong understanding of how web technologies work.
  • Familiarity with data structures, loading patterns, frontend frameworks, and related technical tools and concepts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for improving user workflows and building user interfaces that help users solve their problems while maintaining engineering quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical teammates and understand how technical decisions affect users.
  • Comfort working in a constantly evolving environment with dynamic objectives and user iteration.
  • Experience brainstorming and iterating with product designers.
  • Experience building high-quality software in a fast-paced CI/CD development environment.
  • Proven ability to learn continuously, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to learn new technology and concepts, even without in-depth experience.
  • Active UK Security clearance, or eligibility and willingness to obtain UK Security clearance, is beneficial but not necessary.
Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of a community of engineers building shared frontend tooling for teams across Foundry.
  • Design and build high-scale, data-intensive APIs.
  • Develop interactive workflow UIs.
  • Build products that make technical concepts accessible for non-technical users.
  • Create low-code/no-code WYSIWYG tools that enable application builders within Foundry to build products for their users.
  • Craft tools used by thousands of users to build sophisticated applications that power their businesses.
  • Architect and develop interfaces, state management, and access patterns for data-intensive workflows.
  • Interview users to better understand their needs and identify product gaps.
  • Brainstorm approaches to handling intricate UX needs with teammates.
  • Scope solution designs for sophisticated technical problems and find incremental paths to shipping new features.
  • Own APIs and schemas that power frontend code, or collaborate with backend engineers to develop them together.
  • Participate in Frontline assignments, embedded with customers to work directly with users and gain firsthand insight into product usage and customer challenges.
  • Work in small teams to own the end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects.
  • Discuss architecture, build custom web apps, conduct workshops with users, and strategize with customer executives.
  • Use customer feedback and firsthand observations to refine and enhance products.
