Full-stack Software Engineer ShopBuilder
You will build and evolve high-performance web applications with React and Node.js. You will translate requirements into user experiences, own features from refinement through delivery, optimize performance, ensure compatibility and accessibility, improve testing and CI/CD, support incident response, and communicate technical risks and trade-offs.
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve scalable web applications using React and Node.js
- Translate complex requirements into intuitive user experiences
- Participate in code reviews and share best practices
- Improve CI/CD reliability and observability
- Own features from requirement refinement through testing and delivery
- Optimize loading times, rendering speed, and bundle efficiency
- Ensure cross-browser and multi-device compatibility
- Meet accessibility and usability standards
- Modernize and refactor platform components
- Maintain engineering standards across coding, documentation, testing, and reviews
- Improve automated test coverage and CI/CD workflows
- Handle incident response and root-cause analysis
- Improve long-term platform reliability
- Advocate for scalability, performance, security, and observability
- Identify technical risks and estimate complexity
- Communicate trade-offs to leadership and stakeholders
Requirements
- 4+ years of software development experience with modern frontend engineering expertise
- Deep hands-on React knowledge including component architecture, SSR, RSC, and complex UI data flows
- Proficiency with Node.js and MongoDB
- Understanding of styling systems and theming approaches such as vanilla-extract, styled-components, and design tokens
- Strong TypeScript practices including strict typing, shared contracts, and schema validation
- Experience with Module Federation
- Understanding of bundling and compilation with webpack, Rollup, Vite, or esbuild
- Experience with Vitest or Jest and end-to-end testing with Playwright or Cypress
- Understanding of REST, GraphQL, and RPC-style APIs
- Experience with CI/CD workflows such as GitLab CI
- Experience with private registries and secure artifact handling
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience building shared frontend platforms or tooling is a plus
- React Native or mobile experience is a plus
- Knowledge of client-side and server-side rendering performance optimization is a plus
- Understanding of accessibility, internationalization, and semantic UI design is a plus
- Experience developing SDKs, CLI tools, or developer-facing automation is a plus
- Familiarity with event-driven interfaces, real-time interfaces, or edge rendering is a plus
- Background in developer platforms, observability, or performance monitoring is a plus
- Comfort with UI-as-data approaches and AI-assisted or no-code tooling is a plus
