Full-Stack Tech Lead (Web Platform)

The Full-Stack Tech Lead is responsible for the technical leadership and day-to-day execution of the web platform.

This role ensures the usability, performance, and maintainability of the FieldPro web application. The Tech Lead acts as a player-coach, combining hands-on development with team leadership, and works closely with the CTO and Product Owner to deliver a scalable, user-focused product.

In addition, the Tech Lead plays a key role in driving pragmatic AI adoption to improve developer productivity and code quality across the team.

A. Tech Stack

• Frontend: TypeScript, React, Redux, MUI, Vite
  

• Backend: TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL
  

• CI/CD & Infrastructure: GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Kubernetes
  

B. Main Responsibilities

The Full-Stack Tech Lead reports directly to our CTO and works closely with our Product Owner and our Mobile Tech Lead

He/she will lead and directly manage 4 full-stack developers:

• 1 Senior Backend Developer
  

• 3 Junior to Intermediate Full-Stack Developers)
  

1. Product & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Collaborate with the CTO and Product Owner to translate product goals into technical solutions.
  

• Contribute to roadmap discussions by providing technical input, estimates, and risk assessment.
  

• Participate in product discovery and UX discussions to ensure feasibility, performance, and maintainability.
  

• Occasionally support client-facing discussions (e.g. RFPs or technical clarifications).
  

2. Technical Leadership & Team Management

• Mentor and help junior developers; foster a culture of clean, readable, and maintainable code.
  

• Review pull requests to ensure code quality, performance and security standards.
  

• Own the technical execution and delivery of the web app, ensuring features are released on time and without bugs or regressions.
  

• Act as a direct manager for the full-stack developers:
  

• Conduct regular 1:1s
  

• Support skill development and career progression
  

• Participate in hiring and onboarding
  

3. AI Enablement

• Drive the adoption of AI-assisted development practices within the team
  

• Help the team understand the current limitations, risks, and trade-offs of AI tools (e.g. correctness, maintainability, security).
  

4. Hands-on Development & Quality

• Design, implement, and maintain complex full-stack features.
  

• Own technical decisions for the web app, and both web and mobile APIs within the broader architecture defined with the CTO.
  

• Contribute to system-wide performance and reliability in collaboration with the external DevOps team.
  

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience as a full-stack developer.
  

• Ideally, 1+ year in a Tech Lead role (web or backend).
  

• Experience working in an agile team; familiarity with Scrum or similar delivery methodologies.
  

• Strong communication skills; professional English (written and spoken) required, French is a plus.
  

• Comfortable working in an international, remote-first environment.
