Location: Urbandale, IA

Requirements: Must work 100% on-site in Urbandale, IA. Must support a seasonal second-shift schedule (11:00 AM – 8:00 PM) from February through May.

Will only consider those who are living in a commutable (under 1 hour) distance to the job location.

Join a fast-paced R&D team developing software. In this role, you’ll design, build, and enhance full-stack applications using modern technologies while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop full-stack applications using TypeScript, Node.js, and React to support automated machinery.
  • Design and develop relational databases, SQL queries, and JSON-based APIs.
  • Participate in product design discussions and provide technical input during planning and specification.
  • Develop, debug, test, implement, support, and enhance software for automated research systems.
  • Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and problem-solving.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional software development, database design, or server administration experience.
  • 2+ years of hands‑on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Strong experience with SQL query development and relational database design.Experience developing JSON‑based APIs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work 100% on-site in Urbandale, IA.
  • Willingness to support a seasonal second-shift schedule (11:00 AM – 8:00 PM) from February through May.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Git source control.
  • Experience using GitHub Actions for automation.
  • Experience with Docker.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) tools.
