Full-Stack Web Developer

About the Role

Our client, a growing digital agency with a focus on innovative web solutions, is seeking a talented Full-Stack Web Developer for a contract position in Upington . This role involves building and maintaining responsive, user-friendly web applications for a diverse range of clients. You will be responsible for both front-end and back-end development, working closely with designers and project managers to bring client visions to life. The ideal candidate possesses a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in modern web technologies and a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement responsive user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular).
• Build and maintain server-side logic and APIs using backend languages and frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Python/Django, PHP/Laravel).
• Design and manage database schemas and queries (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience.
• Integrate third-party services and APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Test and debug applications to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize web applications for speed and scalability.
• Stay updated with emerging web development trends and technologies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Full-Stack Web Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (including modern frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular).
• Experience with server-side languages and frameworks (e.g., Node.js/Express, Python/Django/Flask, PHP/Laravel).
• Solid understanding of database design and management (SQL and/or NoSQL).
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
• Ability to work independently and manage project timelines effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• A portfolio showcasing previous web development projects is highly recommended.
