About Indo Property Hub

Indo Property Hub (IPH) is building a new generation of Indonesian property technology — combining a property marketplace, property services directory, market insights and other tools into one integrated platform.

We are a growing technology business and are looking for a strong, hands‑on Web Developer to join our team and take responsibility for the ongoing development, maintenance and optimization of the IPH platform.

This is not simply a WordPress content or website administration role.

We are looking for someone who understands what happens behind the website — including backend coding, custom functionality, plugins, databases, integrations, tag tracking, speed optimization, troubleshooting and performance.

The role also includes SEO and AEO (Answer Engine Optimization). When there are no immediate development, maintenance or repair tasks, the developer will work on improving the platform’s organic search performance and visibility across Google and emerging AI/answer engines.

THE ROLE

You will have two main areas of responsibility:

1. WEB DEVELOPMENT & PLATFORM MAINTENANCE

You will be responsible for keeping the IPH platform technically strong, reliable and continuously improving.

This includes:

• Backend WordPress development
• PHP development and custom coding
• Developing and modifying WordPress plugins
• Creating custom functionality where existing plugins are insufficient
• Troubleshooting and repairing website and plugin issues
• Working with WooCommerce and WordPress integrations
• Database management and optimization
• API integrations and third‑party services
• Website performance and technical optimization
• Security and technical maintenance
• Identifying and fixing bugs
• Improving existing platform functionality
• Implementing new features and platform improvements
• Maintaining compatibility between WordPress, plugins and custom code
• Working with hosting, CDN and website infrastructure when required

We are particularly interested in someone who can look at an existing system, understand how it works, identify the problem and build the appropriate solution, rather than relying entirely on additional plugins.

2. SEO & AEO OPTIMISATION

When development work is not the immediate priority, you will work closely with the management team on improving IPH’s organic search and AI‑search visibility.

Responsibilities will include:

• Technical SEO
• On‑page SEO implementation
• Website structure and internal linking
• Schema / structured data
• Crawlability and indexation
• XML sitemaps
• Search Console analysis
• Core Web Vitals and technical performance
• Optimizing pages for Google Search
• AEO (Answer Engine Optimization)
• Optimizing content and page structures for AI‑generated answers
• Improving entity understanding and topical authority
• Identifying SEO opportunities from search data
• Implementing SEO improvements directly on the website
• Monitoring indexing and search performance
• Identifying technical issues affecting organic traffic
• Supporting the creation of scalable SEO landing pages
• Testing and measuring SEO improvements

You do not need to be a professional copywriter. We are primarily looking for someone who understands the technical side of SEO/AEO and can implement improvements directly on the platform.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Strong PHP knowledge
• Experience developing or modifying WordPress plugins
• Experience with custom WordPress coding
• Strong understanding of WordPress backend architecture
• Ability to troubleshoot complex website issues independently
• Experience with MySQL / WordPress databases
• Understanding of APIs and third‑party integrations
• Strong technical SEO knowledge
• Understanding of Google Search Console
• Understanding of website indexing and crawling
• Good understanding of modern SEO principles
• Understanding of AEO / AI‑search optimisation
• Ability to work independently and solve problems

Highly Desirable

• Experience building custom WordPress plugins from scratch
• Experience with REST APIs
• Experience with Cloudflare or CDN systems
• Experience with website performance optimization
• Experience with structured data / Schema.org
• Experience with GA4
• Experience with google tag manager
• Experience with large or growing WordPress websites
• Experience with real estate, marketplace or directory platforms
• Experience implementing SEO at scale
• Experience optimizing websites for Google AI Overviews and other AI search systems

THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR YOU IF...

This position is probably not suitable if your experience is primarily:

• Installing and configuring WordPress themes
• Installing plugins without understanding their underlying code
• Making simple visual/page‑builder changes
• Managing website content only
• Relying on plugins for every technical problem
• SEO reporting without the ability to implement technical changes

We need a developer who can actually code and solve problems.

HOW YOU WILL SPEND YOUR TIME

The workload will vary depending on the needs of the platform on any given day.

For example:

60-80% development, maintenance and troubleshooting

20-40% SEO/AEO optimization

60-70% SEO/AEO optimization

The objective is to keep the developer productive at all times.

When there is an urgent platform issue or a new feature to develop, development takes priority.

Our platform is rapidly evolving, so this role will only suit fast and efficient WebDev's.

When the platform is stable, the focus shifts toward improving IPH’s organic search performance, indexation, AEO and overall technical optimization.
