Full Time - Area Manager

Lead a portfolio of self storage facilities across the Northeast with full accountability for operations, financial performance and people. You'll be the owner's trusted partner and the leader your store managers count on, protecting and growing the value of commercial real estate assets.

What you'll do

• Drive financial results: build and own annual budgets, review monthly cash flow and explain variances to owners and leadership

• Partner with owners: serve as their primary liaison, lead owner meetings and deliver clear, candid performance reporting

• Lead and develop teams: hire, coach, evaluate and develop store managers, and become a USG Certified Trainer

• Audit and protect: inspect sites, audit leases and records monthly, and hold every store accountable to company policies and processes

What you'll own

• Budgets for every store, built each fall, reviewed with the CEO and COO and presented to owners

• Monthly cash flow review with owners, including variance analysis

• Revenue management: rent increases, competitor surveys and market monitoring

• Marketing performance: set and track store-level marketing goals each budget cycle

• Delinquency and lien/auction compliance at every store, every month

• Weekly invoice approval and expense oversight across your portfolio

• Site inspections: curb appeal, unit condition, maintenance and vendor work

• Talent: recruiting, onboarding, annual evaluations and performance management, in partnership with HR

What you bring

• Multi-site or area-level leadership experience in self storage, property management, or multi-unit retail/hospitality

• Financial fluency. You read P&Ls and cash flow statements and act on what they tell you

• Budgeting, marketing and customer service experience

• Owner- and client-facing poise. You're confident presenting results and handling tough conversations

• Strong Excel and business writing skills, and quick to learn property management software

• Sound judgment when situations aren't standardized. You solve problems instead of escalating them

• Integrity and discretion with confidential owner and company information

• High school diploma required. Degree, accounting or financial analysis background a plus
