Performance Driven Workforce (PDW) is now hiring Full-time Experienced Assemblers for an automotive Tier 1 supplier. The Experienced Assembler role will assist and learn from a senior assembler. The Experienced Assembler’s will perform basic manufacturing and cleaning work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This Full-time Assembler position offers an AM day shift and is based in Canton, MS. Candidates meeting the requirements for this Full-time Experienced Assembler position below are strongly encouraged to apply.
Shift:
- AM day shift: 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM (Monday – Friday, plus Saturday as needed)
Responsibilities:
- Train with a Senior Assembler to assemble products and sub-components to support vehicle production and other products
- Support vehicle and material movement in and around facility
- Follow electronic build book for assembly instructions
- Clean and prepare components and vehicles for production
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow established safety procedures
- Learn and perform assigned production procedures to support vehicle and product production
- Perform work on vehicle systems
- Perform fabrication duties to include grinding, cutting and drilling using fixtures and templates
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of automotive experience
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must have a valid U.S. driver's license with a good driving record
- Proficient with computer usage
- Ability to learn and follow written instructions
- Ability to perform fine hand manipulation
- Knowledge of tools and their use
- Ability to focus on details and quality of work
Preferred Skills:
- High School Automotive Shop Class
- Experience performing personal vehicle maintenance
- Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends
Pay:
- $22/hour
