Allegro Fort Lauderdale is hiring an experienced Lead Server (Dining Room Supervisor) to oversee dining service in one of South Florida's most respected senior living communities. This is a role for a seasoned hospitality professional who knows how to lead a team, maintain high service standards, and deliver an exceptional dining experience — without the chaos of late-night restaurant hours.
What You'll Do:
Lead and supervise the dining room server team throughout every PM shift
Ensure meal service runs smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standard
Train, coach, and support dining associates to deliver exceptional resident experiences
Monitor dining room setup, presentation, and cleanliness throughout service
Serve as the point of contact for resident dining needs and concerns
Collaborate with the Dining Services Director to maintain quality and consistency
What You Bring:
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a restaurant, hotel dining, or Assisted Living setting — required
Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
Genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional service
Dependable, professional, and comfortable leading a team in a fast-paced environment
No certifications required

The primary responsibility of the Lead Server is to accommodate residents and guests during their dining experience by attending to their needs in a friendly, timely, and professional manner.
The Lead Server is responsible for ensuring that the dining room is always attractive and extremely clean. In addition, supervise, train, schedule, and motivate the serving associates.
Areas of Responsibility
Ensure that the atmosphere of the dining room is pleasant and enjoyable, dining services are timely, and the Servers are attentive to the needs of the residents.
Set and manage the schedules for the Servers.
Supervise and assist the Servers in maintaining a clean dining room, chairs, windows, floors, and all work areas.
Supervise and assist the Servers in clearing tables of glasses, silverware, dishes, etc. when residents and guests have finished a course or their meal.
Have a good knowledge of the presentation of food being served and train the Servers in this area.
Always be ready to assist residents in sitting and in rising from the table.
Serve food in an efficient and professional manner. Taking food and beverage orders and serving meals as they are ordered.
Conduct training sessions for Servers.

Required Qualifications
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Must have state specific Food Manager Certification or be able to certify within 30 days of hire.
Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.

Preferred Qualifications
At least one (2) year of related experience preferred.
Some software and computer skills are a plus.
