Full Time Maintenance Manager

The Best Western Plus Settlers Point Is looking for a Maintenance Manager and we would love to have you on our team!

Employment: Full Time (Starting $18.50 + DOE)

Hours: 40+ hours per week, 8:00A.M. to 4:00P.M. (Days/Hours may vary)

Position reports to: General Manager

Purpose/Goal: To ensure that the maintenance department is keeping all rooms and common areas in comfortable, attractive, and in good working order, and that the hotel grounds and swimming areas are clean, safe, and welcoming.

• A willingness to be open-minded, teachable, and have a positive attitude.

• Punctual and a self-motivator and self-starter.

• Management skills in motivating, training, and supervising.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Work well with guests and employees, a friendly disposition.

• Ability to work long strenuous hours under pressure.

• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.

• Physically fit, must be able to walk a lot.

• Give 100% focus on the job and make the most of your days off.

• Light Plumbing and Electrical knowledge.

• Extensive Pool Maintenance.

• Drywall, painting, and basic carpentry skills.

• TV programming and basic computer knowledge.

• Basic landscaping skills.

• Cleaning skills.

• Light mechanical knowledge.

• Operate various power tools.

• Knowledge of security measures.

• Current Drivers License with a good driving record.
