We are seeking a skilled and detail-orientated Room Preventative Maintenance Technician to help maintain the quality, comfort, and safety of our guest rooms. In this role, you will be responsible for performing scheduled preventative maintenance, identifying repair needs before they become guest issues and ensuring every room meets our quality and brand standards. Position Overview

The room Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) in guest rooms and supporting repairs throughout the hotel. This position helps extend the life of hotel assets, improve guest satisfaction, and ensures rooms are operating safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has experience in hotel maintenance or a related trade and can perform a variety of tasks including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry and general repairs.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and perform repairs in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems

Respond quickly and professionally to guest maintenance requests and internal work orders

Conduct daily property walk-throughs and complete duty round checklists, addressing issues as needed

Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal operation of equipment and building systems

Maintain cleanliness and safety of maintenance spaces, work areas, and any impacted guest/public areas during repairs

Install, maintain, and repair appliances, light fixtures, door hardware, and more

Check and maintain safety systems (fire alarms, emergency lighting, ventilation systems, etc.)

Support outdoor upkeep: maintain trash areas, assist with minor landscaping tasks

Build and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors for external support when needed

Communicate effectively with the Director of Engineering and General Manager regarding major repairs or safety concerns

What We're Looking For

Prior experience in hotel or property dwellings maintenance

Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance best practices

Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and reading technical manuals or schematics

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and as part of a team

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform duties in a variety of indoor/outdoor settings

Additional Details

This position may require working weekends, holidays, or variable shifts based on business needs.
