Summary

Build and maintain full-stack Java applications with Angular/React frontends, deploy on Azure, and ensure quality via CI/CD and Kubernetes.

Our client requires the services of a Software Engineer (Senior) - Midrand/Menlyn/Rosslyn/Home Office rotation.

EXPERIENCE: 6-8 Years related working experience.

COMMENCEMENT: As soon as possible.

Development of new functionality (backend, frontend)
Changes to the existing solution
Development and further improvement of the automated test coverage of the solution
Functional and technical refinement of new solution
Maintenance and functional enhancement of the solution
Support and error analysis during overall GROUP test cycles and rollouts
Quality checks in regards of development across all teams (GROUP ZA, GROUP Germany, 3rd party supplier)
Operations (2nd and 3rd Level)
Steering and coordination between the various teams.

Desired Experience & Qualification

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar qualification.
8 years’ experience developing in Java
3 years’ experience in frontend development
3 years’ experience in Public Cloud (Azure)

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

At least 8 years’ experience in Java developing (Java EE)
At least 5 years’ experience in either Spring, Spring Boot or Quarkus
At least 5 years’ experience with Test Frameworks (From Unit 2 E2E)
Frontend:
At least 3 years' worth of experience in front-end technologies
Through Knowledge in UI frameworks e.g. Angular (Version 9 or higher) or React
Profound knowledge in working with container (e.g. Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes)
Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools (e.g. GitHub Actions, GitLab, Terraform, Ansible)
Experience with ITIL Operation processes (Incident-, Problem- and Change management)
Any additional responsibilities assigned in the Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter
