ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer (SFSD) to work alongside our existing Product Development team whilst maintaining a core focus on building new product features and leading R&D projects to enhance LAAMP. The SFSD must have the ability to take a “big picture”, strategic viewpoint, make technical recommendations and implement best practice around work structure. You will work collaboratively with a hybrid team of developers and must demonstrate strong technical skills and high quality code.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on, personable and strategic and have the opportunity to grow with the role into a Software Development Lead / Manager in the future.

Duties will include;

Collaborate with other colleagues to plan, design, develop, test and maintain business applications

Analyse and resolve technical/application problems

Maintain high standards of software quality

Provide support to the Product Owner and wider business

Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery

Provide technical leadership to the team through coaching & mentoring

Responsibilities will include;

Design, develop, test and deploy changes to the software in accordance with established standards.

Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and changes, providing critical and constructive feedback, challenging peers and supporting their growth.

Communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, with management, colleagues and internal customers.

Recommend software improvements to maintain fitness for purpose.

Facilitate root cause analysis and resolve complex technical and functional issues.

Prepare reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.

Possess and regularly gather up-to-date knowledge of technological developments in the industry.

Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements, develop user stories, estimates and work plans with attention to system integration and feasibility.

Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product.

Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

SENIOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Communicate relevant technical concepts and guidelines to development team.

Oversee progress of development to ensure consistency with initial design.

Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security,modifiability, extensibility etc.

Provide technical leadership to the team through coaching and mentorship.

Technical competency to encompass the same scope as for Developer, but to a Senior level.
