Die Abteilung Group Strategic Analytics (GSA) bündelt das quantitative und modelltechnische Fachwissen der Bank in einer Einheit als Teil von COO. Mit gruppenweiter Verantwortung für die Modellentwicklung verfolgt GSA einen geschäfts- und funktionsübergreifenden Ansatz zur Lösung quantitativer Modellierungs- und Analyseproblemen und führt gemeinsame Entwicklungsstandards ein. In einem immer komplexer werdenden Umfeld ist GSA ein idealer Ort für eine quantitativ orientierte Karriere in der Bank.

Sie werden in der Abteilung Market Risk Strats innerhalb der GSA tätig sein, einem Team, das sich aus Mitarbeitern mit Erfahrung in den Bereichen Technologie, Frontoffice Quant, Regulatorik, und Risikomethodik zusammensetzt. Ihr unmittelbarer Schwerpunkt wird in erster Linie auf der Bereitstellung geschäftsübergreifender Funktionen auf der TradeFinder-Plattform liegen. Da die GSA jedoch eine bankweite Einheit ist, werden Sie mit vielen anderen Arten von Fragestellungen konfrontiert und haben viele Möglichkeiten, sich weiterzuentwickeln und sich innerhalb der Organisation zu bewegen.

Hauptaufgaben

• Als Quantitative Strategist übernehmen Sie in ihrer Rolle als Fullstack Developer Schritt für Schritt Verantwortung für die Analyse von Problemen und Entwicklung von Tools unter Verwendung einer Vielzahl von quantitativen und programmtechnischen Methoden

• Zusammenarbeit insbesondere mit dem Bereich Remote Booking Office (RBO) aber auch Frontoffice (Sales und Trading), Businessmanagement sowie verschiedener anderer Kontrollfunktionen, um strategische Lösungen zu entwickeln und zu pflegen, insbesondere mit Arbeitsschwerpunkt zu dem Thema Remote Booking Supervision

• Einarbeitung und Vertiefung in die regulatorischen Anforderungen der thematischen Arbeitsschwerpunkte und Optimierung der technischen Kontrollprozesse

• Parallel zur Codeentwicklung werden Dokumentationen zu entwickeltem Code, Prozessen, Infrastruktur und User Manuals erstellt

• Zusammenarbeit mit Technologie-Abteilungen zur Erstellung integrierter Lösungen innerhalb der bestehenden Umgebungen (Kannon und TradeFinder)

Fachliche und persönliche Anforderungen

• Hochschulabschluss in einem natur- oder ingenieurwissenschaftlichen Fach, Informatik oder Mathematik

• Sehr gute Programmierkenntnisse in Python, Matlab, Java und Webtechnologien (JavaScript, TypeScript, Groovy, XML) als Fullstack Developer und sehr gute Kenntnisse im Umgang mit Datenbanken (SQL) und weiteren Erfahrungen zu den Themen:

  • Frontend Frameworks: Angular 10,13,15, Bootstrap

  • Backend Environment: Python, Matlab, distributed services, Java (Tomcat, Jetty)

  • Backend Frameworks: Pandas, Falcon, Jinja, Apache FOP, Spring, iBatis

  • Development Environment: GIT, Perforce, Atlassian Jira, Confluence, NPM
    Testing: Selenium, Python Unittests

  • Requirement Engineering, Service Oriented Design, Microservices, Web-Frontend-Architectures, Backend-Architectures, Frontend/Backend-Testing, Performance Analysis

• Erfahrungen mit Bankprodukten, Portfolien und gutes Verständnis von komplexer informationstechnischer Infrastruktur

• Sorgfältiges, analytisches und problemorientiertes Denken und Arbeiten, auch eigenverantwortlich unter Zeitdruck und mit wechselnden Prioritäten

• Ausgeprägte Kommunikations- und Koordinationsfähigkeit in deutscher und englischer Sprache über verschiedene Hierarchiestufen innerhalb des Unternehmens hinweg

Role Details

The Group Strategic Analytics (GSA) department consolidates the bank's quantitative and model-related expertise into a single unit within the COO function. With group-wide responsibility for model development, GSA takes a cross-business and cross-functional approach to solving quantitative modelling and analytical problems, implementing shared development standards. In an increasingly complex environment, GSA is an ideal place for a quantitatively oriented career within the bank.

You will join the Market Risk Strats department within GSA, a team comprised of professionals with backgrounds in technology, front-office quantitative analysis, regulation, and risk methodology. Your immediate focus will primarily be on delivering cross-business capabilities on the TradeFinder platform. However, because GSA is a bank-wide unit, you will be exposed to many other types of challenges and will have numerous opportunities to grow and move within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-stack Development & Analysis: As a Quantitative Strategist, you will progressively take ownership of analyzing problems and developing tools using a wide range of quantitative and programming methodologies in your role as a Full-stack Developer

• Collaboration & Strategic Solutions: Collaborate closely with the Remote Booking Office (RBO), Front Office (Sales and Trading), Business Management, and various other control functions to develop and maintain strategic solutions, with a particular focus on Remote Booking Supervision

• Regulatory & Process Optimization: Familiarize yourself with and deepen your understanding of the regulatory requirements related to your focus areas, and optimize technical control processes

• Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for developed code, processes, infrastructure, and user manuals alongside your code development

• Integration: Partner with technology departments to build integrated solutions within existing environments (Kannon and TradeFinder)

Professional and Personal Requirements

• Education: University degree in a science, engineering, computer science, or mathematics discipline

• Technical Skills: Excellent programming skills in Python, Matlab, Java, and web technologies (JavaScript, TypeScript, Groovy, XML) as a Full-stack Developer, alongside very good knowledge of databases (SQL). Additional experience in the following areas is required:

  • Frontend Frameworks: Angular 10, 13, 15; Bootstrap

  • Backend Environment: Python, Matlab, distributed services, Java (Tomcat, Jetty)

  • Backend Frameworks: Pandas, Falcon, Jinja, Apache FOP, Spring, iBatis

  • Methodologies & Architecture: Requirement Engineering, Service-Oriented Design, Microservices, Web Frontend/Backend Architectures, Frontend/Backend Testing, Performance Analysis

• Industry Knowledge: some experience with banking products and portfolios, and a solid understanding of complex IT infrastructure

• Mindset: Strong analytical, meticulous, and problem-oriented thinking and working style, with the ability to work independently under pressure and manage shifting priorities

• Communication: very good communication and coordination skills in English, potentially also German across various hierarchical levels within the organization
