Fullstack Developer -Java

About the role

We are seeking a talented Fullstack Developer - Java to join our growing technology team at Michael Page International (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. This is a contract position based in Puchong, Selangor. As a Fullstack Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining both front-end and back-end applications using Java and related technologies. This role is strategically important to our organisation as it directly contributes to the delivery of robust, scalable solutions that drive business value and enhance our technological capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using Java for back-end development and modern front-end technologies
• Design and implement database schemas, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following industry best practices and coding standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and other developers to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to maintain code quality
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise applications to improve performance and user experience
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, contributing knowledge to the development team

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Fullstack Developer or similar role, with strong proficiency in Java programming and Springboot Framework
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL and NoSQL)
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and microservices architecture
• Understanding of software design patterns and clean code principles
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearlyBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• Experience with agile development methodologies is desirable
