About the role

PT. SIGMA GLOBAL TEKNOLOGI (SIGMATECH) is seeking a Fullstack Developer (Java Springboot Reactjs) for Banking Industry to join our talented development team. This is a contract position based in South Jakarta, Jakarta. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust, scalable applications that serve the banking sector, utilising Java Springboot for backend architecture and ReactJS for frontend interfaces. You will play a crucial role in building secure, efficient financial solutions that meet the rigorous demands of the banking industry. What you'll be doing

• Develop, maintain and enhance full-stack applications using Java Springboot and ReactJS, ensuring code quality and adherence to industry standards
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices using Java Springboot that support complex banking operations and transactions
• Create responsive, user-friendly frontend interfaces using ReactJS with a focus on performance optimisation and accessibility
• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts and other developers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high standards of code quality and best practices
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve technical issues in production and development environments with minimal downtime
• Participate in system architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making processes
• Ensure compliance with banking security regulations, data protection standards and industry best practices
• Document code, technical designs and implementation details for future reference and team knowledge sharing
• Optimise application performance and scalability to handle high transaction volumes typical of banking systems

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Fullstack Developer with a minimum of 3-5 years in professional software development
• Strong proficiency in Java and Java Springboot framework, including experience building scalable backend services
• Demonstrated experience working with banking systems, financial applications or regulated environments
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
• Understanding of RESTful API design principles and microservices architecture
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and collaborative development workflows
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerisation technologies like Docker
• Understanding of security best practices, including authentication, authorisation and data encryption
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in collaborative team environments
• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Preferred: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, agile development methodologies and automated testing frameworks
• Preferred: Knowledge of banking compliance regulations such as PCI-DSS, ISO 20022 or local banking standards
