Fullstack Developer (React/node.js exp)

Milestone IT is partnering with a leading hospital organisation to find an experienced Full Stack Developer to join their technology team on an initial 12-month contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on meaningful technology initiatives within the healthcare sector, contributing to the development and enhancement of applications that support critical business and clinical operations.

The Role

You will work across the full software development lifecycle, designing, developing and maintaining modern web applications using React and Node.js.
Key responsibilities include:

• Developing responsive, scalable and high-performing web applications.
• Building and maintaining front-end applications using React.
• Developing robust back-end services and APIs using Node.js.
• Integrating applications with databases and third-party systems.
• Collaborating with technical teams, business stakeholders and end users.
• Writing clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
• Participating in code reviews, testing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience as a Full Stack Developer.
• Solid hands-on experience with React.js.
• Strong back-end development experience using Node.js.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Good understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript, HTML and CSS.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD and modern development practices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Healthcare or hospital sector experience will be highly regarded.
