Fullstack Developer

The opportunity

As a Web Development & DevOps Engineer, you will sit at the crossroads of development, infrastructure and cloud teams, architects, product teams, and clients. Your role consists of designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining robust, secure, and observable web applications, while industrializing delivery and operations processes, and leveraging artificial intelligence assistants to optimize productivity and code quality.

Day-to-day responsibilities

Designing and Developing Web Applications (AI-Boosted)

• Participate in the analysis of functional and technical requirements.
• Design scalable, maintainable, and secure web solutions.
• Develop front-end features using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Develop back-end services and APIs using Node.js and/or Java / Spring Boot.
• Design and manage relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Integrate generative artificial intelligence into your daily development practices (code generation, refactoring, documentation, and task automation using tools such as Gemini CLI).
• Participate in architectural choices and contribute to defining technical standards.
• Fix bugs and ensure proactive and corrective maintenance of applications.
• Write technical documentation and contribute to knowledge capitalization.

Industrializing Development and Deployments

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI/CD.
• Automate build, test, deployment, and delivery processes.
• Containerize applications using Docker.
• Deploy and administer applications in Kubernetes environments.
• Automate infrastructure management with Terraform and Ansible.
• Work on GCP environments and the company's internal cloud.
• Contribute to managing development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Implement best practices for configuration management and version control using Git and GitLab.

Enhancing Quality, Security, and Observability

• Set up and maintain unit, integration, and automated tests.
• Participate in code reviews and promote software development best practices.
• Improve code quality, reliability, and maintainability.
• Contribute to application monitoring, logging, and observability.
• Participate in incident analysis and resolution.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Integrate security requirements into development and deployment processes.

Collaboration and Team Support

• Work within agile teams operating under Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
• Collaborate with product teams, developers, architects, and infrastructure/cloud teams.
• Support product teams in adopting DevOps practices and raise awareness of AI best practices (effective prompting, AI code reviews).
• Understand business challenges and challenge requirements when necessary.
• Communicate clearly and pedagogically with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Participate in knowledge sharing and animating expertise communities.
• Represent Magellan Partners to clients with professionalism and a service-oriented mindset.

Who are we looking for

Education and Experience

• Higher education degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent.
• 3 to 8 years of professional experience in software development, web engineering, DevOps, or a similar environment.
• Significant experience in designing and developing web applications.
• Proven experience in industrializing development and deployment processes.
• Experience within a consulting context or working directly with clients is a plus.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in Angular and TypeScript.
• Good command of HTML and CSS.
• Solid back-end development experience with Node.js and/or Java / Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) and non-relational databases (with proven expertise in MongoDB).
• Strong interest and comfort in using AI coding assistants and command-line interfaces (hands-on experience with Gemini CLI or equivalent).
• Mastery of Git and GitLab, and practical experience with GitLab CI/CD.
• Good command of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible.
• Knowledge of GCP environments and/or an internal cloud.
• Proficiency in automated testing, code review, and continuous integration practices.
