ABOUT THE ROLE
The Fullstack Engineer is responsible for the development of high performing, user-oriented frontend applications as well as the creation and maintenance of reliable, scalable backend systems. You'll have solid product knowledge, own and drive features and modules independently, and mentor junior team members. You'll work closely with designers, product managers and other engineers to ensure consistency in design, functionality and performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, develop and maintain end to end solutions across frontend and backend systems
- Build and deploy backend services and APIs
- Manage and optimise databases for efficient, reliable data storage and retrieval
- Apply caching, indexing and data partitioning strategies to improve system performance
- Deliver robust, accessible frontend applications with strong cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
- Implement and maintain design systems and UI component libraries for consistency across projects
- Secure backend services through proper authentication, authorisation and data encryption
- Write well tested code across unit, integration and end to end testing
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development and production environments
- Use CI/CD, version control and containerisation to support efficient, maintainable delivery
- Apply AI tooling where it genuinely adds value, without becoming overly reliant on it
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Solid experience across both frontend (React/Next.js) and backend (.NET) development
- Solid experience with SQL Server or similar relational database management
- Has architectural judgement and the ability to make good, scalable design decisions
- Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, get it done approach
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work closely with product, design and engineering teams
- Based in Adelaide, in line with the team's location.
This is a great opportunity to join a business genuinely focused on workplace safety, with real ownership over features and modules and room to grow into a more senior technical role.
