FullStack Engineer-Golang and React/Next.js or React Native
Summary
Full-stack engineer on one of three Scrum teams building Gartner's Peer Community platform, where verified enterprise leaders share knowledge and peer feedback. Day to day: design and ship features end-to-end across a Go backend and a React/Next.js or React Native frontend, contributing to technical design, prototyping, and code reviews.
This role is a core individual contributor on one of three Scrum teams within the Peer Community product organization in Digital Product Technology (DPT). You will own feature delivery end-to-end, contribute to technical design, and help raise the overall quality and capability of your team. Gartner Peer Community is a peer-driven platform where thousands of verified enterprise leaders connect to share knowledge, ask questions, and provide peer feedback that helps inform technology and business decisions.
What you will do:
- Design and build high-quality features end-to-end across web and backend platforms with a focus on reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Participate actively in technical design discussions and contribute meaningful input on architecture and implementation approaches.
- Partner closely with Product and Design to rapidly prototype, validate, and iterate on new ideas, helping shape requirements and technical solutions in areas where the path forward may not yet be fully defined.
- Write well-tested, well-documented code and hold a high bar in code review.
What you'll need:
Must have-
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems, including rich experience in end-to-end system design and delivery.
- Strong proficiency in Go (Golang) for backend development and React/Next.js or React Native for UI development; must have hands-on full stack engineering experience.
- Solid understanding of software design principles, testing practices, and delivery fundamentals.
- Clear written and verbal communication with teammates, product managers, and stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in distributed systems, high-traffic services, or data-intensive platforms.
- Familiarity with agile/scrum delivery models.
- Experience integrating third-party video conferencing solutions into web or enterprise applications using APIs or SDKs.
Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science or a related field required
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment.
