About the role
Our Client is seeking a passionate and experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our team supporting large-scale Government Digital Transformation initiatives in Singapore. This role is focused on new application development, feature delivery, product engineering, and AI-powered solution development, rather than operational support. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering citizen-centric digital services while taking strong ownership of technical solutions throughout the software development lifecycle. You will work closely with Product Managers, Solution Architects, UX Designers, QA Engineers, and Government stakeholders to build secure, scalable, highly available, accessible, and AI-enabled digital products that serve millions of users.
Key responsibilities
Design, develop, and enhance modern web applications using Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Node.js
Build scalable, maintainable, and reusable frontend and backend components
Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js, Koa, or Express
Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through deployment and production release
Take end-to-end ownership of application modules and product features
Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making
Drive code quality, performance optimization, security, and maintainability
Design and develop cloud-native applications on AWS
Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications, AI assistants, and agent-based workflows to enhance citizen services and operational efficiency
About you
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
Minimum 5 years of software development experience in Full Stack Engineering
Strong experience delivering greenfield development projects and enterprise-scale applications
Proven track record of owning and delivering software solutions from design through production deployment
Experience working in Agile and product-oriented delivery environments
Strong proficiency in Next.js 14, React 18, and TypeScript
Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Koa and/or Express
Hands-on experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, OpenSearch, and ActiveMQ
Experience with AWS services: Lambda, S3, SQS, RDS, ElastiCache
Hands-on experience with Docker, Docker Compose, and Terraform
