6-month contract fullstack engineer building a centralised data platform for a leading financial services client: React frontends plus Python/SQL backend microservices on AWS (Kubernetes, CloudFormation, Airflow) with strong CI/CD and AI-assisted development. Salary: AUD 800 - 1000 per day
FULLSTACK ENGINEER- 6 Month Contract

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Engineer to join a high performing engineering team responsible for developing a centralised data platform across complex business domains.
In this role, you will work on challenging data management and relationship mapping problems, building intuitive frontend applications and scalable backend microservices powered by modern data technologies. You'll be involved in designing and delivering cloud native solutions, leveraging containerised and serverless architectures to support highly available and performant systems.
The team embraces AI assisted development practices, enabling engineers to accelerate delivery while maintaining high standards of code quality and engineering excellence.
MUST HAVES
- Proficient in React.js, Python, SQL, and Airflow
- Strong CI/CD experience e.g. GitHub, Bitbucket, GitHub Actions, Bamboo, ArgoCD
- Strong understanding of Secure by design principles
- Building containerised applications and managing container workloads in Kubernetes
- Building, deploying, and maintaining AWS components using CloudFormation e.g. EC2, S3, IAM, Lambdas, SQS, SNS, RDS, DynamoDB
- Designing and building microservices architecture
- Ability to accelerate delivery / output with AI e.g. Claude Code, Copilot
- Experiene working in monitoring and observability tools e.g. Splunk, Grafana, CloudWatch
- Neo4j, BigQuery Graph
- Angular, Next.js, Vue.js, Java, Go, DBT
- Experience integrating with GCP e.g. GCS, BigQuery
- Experience with GitOps
