Fullstack Engineer Payward Services Custody

You will design, build, and maintain secure custody, staking, and wallet services. You will develop TypeScript and Node.js microservices, integrate blockchain and external systems, contribute React and Next.js interfaces, build Kafka-driven systems, optimize data models and APIs, and own services from design through deployment and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver secure, scalable custody solutions
• Build and maintain TypeScript and Node.js backend microservices
• Integrate blockchain networks and external systems for asset movements, transactions, and key management
• Contribute to React and Next.js frontend applications
• Develop Kafka-based event-driven systems
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Design and optimize data models, APIs, and distributed architectures
• Participate in technical reviews, mentor engineers, and own services through their lifecycle

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional fullstack or backend engineering experience in high-scale, high-availability systems
• Expert proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
• Experience with NestJS or similar frameworks
• Knowledge of microservices, event-driven architectures, and CQRS and DDD patterns
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and asynchronous event-based communication systems
• Experience with SQL databases and schema design
• Knowledge of React and frontend best practices
• Knowledge of React Query, Context API, and custom hooks
• Experience with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and component-driven architecture
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, Prometheus, and Splunk
• Collaboration and communication skills for distributed cross-functional teams
