Fullstack Engineer

About the role

The Senior Full Stack Engineer is accountable for the design, build, and continuous improvement of the platforms Trippl delivers, end to end: web applications, customer portals, digital commerce storefronts, APIs and services, and internal tools. The role owns engineering quality across the stack, from interface performance and accessibility through to API design, data integrity, and service reliability. This is a hands-on technical role. The engineer builds and maintains Trippl's full stack engineering capability, from component library and design system through to APIs, services, and integrations, working alongside Trippl's ERP capability, designers, delivery and enablement teams, and client stakeholders to reduce friction in digital journeys and enable scalable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain web applications and storefronts that are fast, accessible, responsive, and reliable across devices and browsers
• Build and maintain reusable component libraries and design system implementations so interfaces stay consistent and delivery accelerates over time
• Shape the front end architecture, including rendering strategy, state management, routing, and build tooling, ensuring it is modular and maintainable
• Enforce coding standards, peer review practices, and deployment processes across the front end codebase
• Own front end performance, including load time, interactivity, and Core Web Vitals, and hold agreed performance budgets
• Deliver interfaces that meet WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards, and embed accessibility into the build rather than retrofitting it
• Implement automated front end testing, including unit, component, and end-to-end coverage using tools such as Playwright or Cypress
• Design, build, and integrate back end services and APIs that connect the front end with ERP and third party systems, covering order management, product data, inventory, pricing, and customer records
• Translate design files and product requirements into well-scoped, deliverable technical work, and raise gaps or ambiguities early
• Mentor and support junior technical team members as the function grows, and contribute to Trippl's reusable front end patterns and accelerators

About you

• 5+ years hands-on full stack development experience building production web applications, with strong front end depth
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript, HTML5, and modern CSS including layout, responsive design, and CSS/SASS or utility-first frameworks
• Deep experience with at least one modern framework (React, Vue, or similar) and an associated meta-framework such as Next.js or Nuxt; familiarity with server-side and static rendering trade-offs
• Solid back end development experience in Node.js, Python, or similar: designing and building REST or GraphQL APIs, working with relational databases, and integrating third party services
• AI experience is required: daily use of AI-assisted development tools (Copilot, Claude, or similar) and practical experience building features on LLM APIs or integrating AI services into applications
• Proven experience building and maintaining component libraries or design system implementations, and working from Figma or equivalent design files
• Solid experience consuming and integrating REST and/or GraphQL APIs, including authentication flows, caching, and error handling
• Demonstrated capability in web accessibility (WCAG 2.2) and front end performance optimisation
• Experience with automated front end testing (Playwright, Cypress, or similar) and modern build tooling and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience operating in a structured delivery environment with clear cadences and stakeholder reporting; consultancy or client-facing delivery experience is an advantage
