Fullstack (Java and Angular) Developer
Location: Porto,Porto,Portugal
Overview:
The leading bank in the European Union and a leading international player is seeking a Fullstack (Java and Angular) Developer responsible for the development, support and continuous evolution of applications supporting the client’s business activities. The consultant will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and technical design to development, testing, deployment and maintenance. The role requires strong expertise in Java, Angular and modern DevOps practices, combined with the ability to work across multiple squads and collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders.
What will you do?
- Participate in business requirements analysis and contribute to functional and technical specifications
- Develop, test and maintain enterprise applications following Agile methodologies
- Ensure corrective and evolutionary maintenance activities, including bug fixing and change requests
- Implement new features and enhancements according to business priorities and roadmap requirements
- Produce and maintain technical documentation in accordance with the client’s standards and guidelines
- Deploy applications across production and non-production environments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary Agile teams, Product Owners and business stakeholders
- Work across multiple squads to support different ICare business lines based on organizational priorities
- Gradually acquire functional and technical expertise on assigned applications and domains
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, code quality and development best practices
What are we looking for?
- Strong experience in Full Stack Development using Java and Angular technologies
- Experience with Agile and Scrum frameworks is required
- Experience in Life Insurance or Banking sectors is considered a strong advantage
- Ability to work across multiple business domains and squads
- Availability for occasional travel within Portugal
- Availability for occasional international travel
- Strong focus on software quality, maintainability, performance and continuous improvement
- Experience working in multicultural and international environments is highly valued
- Experience with Java Development (Java 11 to Java 21), Spring Framework, Spring Boot 3, Spring Cloud and Spring Batch, Angular (Versions 17 to 21), NG Prime Components and TypeScript, HTML and CSS
- Experience with Unit Testing with Jest, Hibernate ORM Framework, Lombok, Liquibase, PostgreSQL Database Development and MongoDB Database Development
- Experience with SOAP and REST Web Services, Kafka and Kafka Connect, Kubernetes and Container-Based Solutions, HashiCorp Vault, Maven Build Automation, Git Source Control Management, Jenkins CI/CD Pipelines, IntelliJ IDEA Development Environment
- Experience with Jira and Agile Tooling, DevOps Practices and Toolchains
- Experience with AI-Assisted Development (Vibe Coding)
- Experience with Scrum Framework and Agile Methodologies
- Fluent in English and French
