We are hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer with strong backend expertise for a fast-growing early-stage startup building secure, scalable, and compliance-focused systems.
This role is heavily backend-oriented and ideal for engineers who enjoy designing clean architectures, building reliable APIs, handling complex integrations, and owning systems end-to-end.
What You’ll Work On
- Build and maintain stateful workflow and case-management systems
- Design scalable backend services and API layers
- Develop secure credential vaulting and configuration systems
- Integrate third-party platforms including payments, voice, and document systems
- Build billing, reconciliation, and commission workflows
- Implement webhook/event routing systems and workflow automation
- Contribute to frontend features where needed using modern full stack technologies
- Ensure SOC 2-focused audit logging, compliance, and operational reliability
Requirements
- Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js in production environments
- Experience building scalable backend architectures and REST APIs
- Strong understanding of controllers, services, repositories, and domain-driven design patterns
- Deep PostgreSQL knowledge including schema design, migrations, query optimization, and raw SQL
- Experience with authentication, RBAC, JWT, rate limiting, validation, and audit logging
- Experience integrating third-party APIs with retries, idempotency, and failure handling
- Strong debugging, observability, and production troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment
Nice to Have
- Experience in regulated or compliance-heavy industries
- Experience with DigitalOcean infrastructure
- Experience with Stripe or billing/payment systems
- Frontend experience with React or Next.js
- Familiarity with webhook-heavy architectures and workflow engines
