Functional Analyst, Oracle ERP & HCM Center of Excellence

Your role, your impact

As a Functional Analyst within the Oracle ERP & HCM Center of Excellence (CoE), you’ll play a critical role in supporting the configuration, testing, and continuous improvement of Oracle Fusion HCM. You’ll work closely with Human Capital stakeholders, business analysts, functional owners, solution architects, and technical teams to support Oracle HCM projects, enhancements, and ongoing operations. Your ability to understand business requirements, configure Oracle Fusion HCM, execute functional testing, support data conversion and reporting activities, and collaborate across functional and technical teams will directly contribute to successful project delivery, operational readiness, user adoption, and continuous improvement of Oracle HCM solutions.

Your day-to-day

  • Participate in workshops, requirements gathering activities, and business process discussions;

  • Document business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, configuration workbooks, and supporting functional documentation;

  • Analyze business needs and assist in identifying appropriate Oracle Fusion HCM solution options;

  • Configure, maintain, and support Oracle Fusion HCM solutions across Core HR, Workforce Structures, Position Management, Talent Management, Goal Management, Performance Management, Compensation, Recruiting, Benefits, Journeys, and Dynamic Skills;

  • Configure application settings based on approved solution designs and maintain configuration workbooks and supporting documentation;

  • Support setup validation, configuration testing, and impact assessments for new requirements and enhancements;

  • Develop and execute functional test scripts and participate in CRP, SIT, UAT, regression, and integration testing activities;

  • Validate system behavior against approved business requirements and support defect identification, documentation, triage, remediation, retesting, and the preparation of validation documentation, testing datasets, and test evidence;

  • Provide functional support for Oracle Fusion HCM processes and configurations, including troubleshooting user-reported issues and supporting root-cause analysis;

  • Support business users during testing, deployment, post-go-live stabilization, and user adoption activities;

  • Prepare user documentation, training materials, quick reference materials, and knowledge-transfer documentation;

  • Assist with data conversion, reporting validation, testing activities, and collaboration with technical teams on integrations, reporting, and data-related initiatives;

  • Monitor recurring system issues and enhancement opportunities and recommend process improvements and system optimization initiatives, and participate in Oracle quarterly update testing and impact assessments;

  • Support functional owners and senior analysts with solution design validation, testing, documentation, and operational readiness activities, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on user experience, system efficiency, data quality, and operational excellence.

Keys to your success

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience;

  • 2 to 5 years of experience as a functional analyst working with Oracle packaged solutions;

  • 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM;

  • Experience supporting Oracle Fusion HCM configuration, testing, application support, and functional documentation activities;

  • Experience participating in Conference Room Pilots (CRP), System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and functional testing activities;

  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion HCM modules, including Core HR, Talent Management, Performance Management, Compensation, Recruiting, Journeys, Benefits Management, Workforce Structures, Position Management, and Fast Formula configuration;

  • Strong understanding of employee lifecycle processes, HCM business practices, data conversion, reporting, integrations, and data validation activities;

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, support stakeholders across international regions, and quickly learn new business processes and Oracle Cloud capabilities.

Extra edge

  • Oracle Fusion HCM certifications or progress toward Oracle certification;

  • Experience working within an Oracle Center of Excellence (CoE) or enterprise application support environment, supporting Human Capital transformation initiatives, Oracle quarterly updates, impact assessments, and collaboration with Functional Owners, Solution Architects, Business Analysts, and technical specialists;

  • Experience with OTBI, BI Publisher, Power BI, Power Query, and Oracle ERP and Project Portfolio Management (PPM) integrations;

  • Understanding of data governance and data quality practices, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
