Job Description Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Functional Intern to support localization and data annotation projects. This role provides hands-on exposure to content localization, linguistic quality assurance, and AI data annotation workflows.
The intern will assist Project Managers (PMs) and Project Coordinators (PCs) in executing project tasks, ensuring high-quality deliverables while meeting timeline and KPI requirements. This position is ideal for candidates seeking practical experience in localization, language operations, and AI data processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in basic localization and content adaptation tasks into English while maintaining accuracy and intent.
- Support data annotation activities (e.g., text, image, or speech labeling) for AI model training.
- Perform quality checks to ensure linguistic accuracy, consistency, and adherence to guidelines.
- Follow project-specific instructions, glossaries, and style guides closely.
- Collaborate with QA/review teams to identify and resolve issues.
- Complete assigned tasks within defined deadlines and productivity KPIs.
- Provide timely updates on progress, blockers, and task completion.
- Support PMs/PCs with ad-hoc operational and administrative tasks.
- Adapt quickly to updates, changes, and new project requirements.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Communications, or related fields.
- Strong command of English (written and reading); additional language skills are a plus.
- Basic understanding of localization or translation concepts is preferred.
- High attention to detail with strong quality awareness.
- Ability to follow instructions and perform repetitive tasks consistently.
- Good time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
